So non-God believers are unable to answer this question:
How can you prove that God DOESN’T exist? They will never be able to answer it.
But they certainly WILL criticize you for believing in a Supernatural Designer and Creator.
The following story brought me a chuckle:
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?” “Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled smugly.
“Okay,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask
you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same
stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns
out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?”
The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence,
thought about it and said , “Hmmm, I have no idea.” To which
the little girl replied, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss
God, Heaven and Hell, or life after death, when you don’t know ‘crap’?”
And then she went back to reading.
So let’s get to back to those scientific theories that the scientific community has endorsed for a VERY long time. These theories are the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics.
The First Law of Thermodynamics is stated as follows: matter and energy can be neither created nor destroyed. (also known as the Law of Conservation of Energy) Matter or energy can be transferred from one form to another but not created. There are no natural processes that can alter either matter or energy in this way.
Atheists who state that the universe came into existence from nothing (The Big Bang Theory) violate the first law of thermodynamics, which was established by the very scientific community who now often are willing to ignore this principle. You cannot have something slowly come into existence from nothing. No rational person (remember it is God, not the believer, who calls non-God believers “fools”- Psalm 14:1, 53:1) could believe that the matter of the entire universe—gradually came into existence by itself.
Through your own efforts, try to build something—anything—from nothing. You would not be able—in a hundred lifetimes of trying—to produce a single thing from nothing!
Can any atheist believe that everything in the entirety of the universe, in all of its exquisite detail, came into existence completely by itself? This is proof that the existing natural realm demands the existence of a Great Creator.
Next blog we will discuss the incredible Golden ratio in nature known as Fibonacci (this will knock your socks off!) as well as investigate the Second Law of Thermodynamics and how it applies to this discussion.
