Jesus himself teaches us about the existence of hell, did you know that?

Jesus teaches the people about the existence of HELL

What Jesus teaches about hellJesus taught us a lot about the subject of hell especially in the Gospel of Matthew. Do you believe that the Bible is true? I hope so. If not, these words will fall on deaf ears.  If hell doesn’t exist, why would Jesus say a word about it? Instead, he goes into detail……………

Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus said that wide is the road that leads to destruction, and many will enter through it.  Narrow is the road that leads to life in heaven!  HELL IS A PLACE OF DESTRUCTION, NOT CONSTRUCTION.

Matthew 7:15-20 Teachers who are hypocrites and who bear bad fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire! TEACHERS HAVE MORE RESPONSIBILITY TO DIRECT PEOPLE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

Matthew 8:12 Jesus said that hell is a place where “there is darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.”  It is place “outside” of heaven.   DARKNESS MORE THAN LIGHT. NO THANK YOU.

Matthew 10:28   Jesus warned his disciples, “Be aware of the one (Satan) who can destroy both body and soul in hell.” Don’t worry about those who can destroy your physical body only.    WHO WANTS TO BE CONTROLLED BY SATAN AFTER DEATH?

Matthew 11:20-24 Jesus says “Woe to the cities of Korazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum for not repenting.”    They didn’t repent even after seeing Jesus’ miracles. Capernaum (in vs. 23) is noted to be headed down to the depths (hell) rather than to heaven.  REPENT ON A DAILY BASIS FOR YOUR SINS.

Matthew 13:40-42 In these verses, Jesus explains the Parable of the Weeds.  The weeds represent evildoers and those that “cause sin.” They will be judged at the end of the age and “burned in the fire” and thrown into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 13:47-50 In the Parable of the Fishing Net, Jesus warned that “at the end of the age,” there will be a separation of the good fish from the bad; angels will separate the righteous from the wicked.  The wicked will be thrown into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  The righteous are those who put their faith in Jesus Christ who died for their sins on the Cross at Calvary.

Matthew 16:17-20 Jesus teaches that he is the cornerstone of the church, and the “gates of hell” will not overcome it. THE CHURCH WAS GOD’S IDEA FOR MANKIND, NOT OURS.

Matthew 18:7-9 (Mark 9:42-50)   Jesus says, “It is better for you to enter eternal life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.  In other words, get rid of all things that are stumbling blocks for you that cause you to sin.

Luke 12:5 Jesus warned his disciples. “But I shall show you whom you should fear; fear him, who after killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell.”  Only God has the power to do this.

Conclusion:

  • For those who say they don’t believe in hell, then read the Gospel of Matthew and believe what Jesus himself said about HELL, that IT IS A REAL PLACE.

  • If you believe that HELL exists and that you are going there to “party” with the rest of your atheist friends after death, SOBER UP my friend! The “gnawing of teeth” is a gruesome feeling that I have experienced when I passed a couple of kidney stones and when I had pancreatitis! Not fun! Nobody likes THAT pain.
